P Prasad, Chief Scientist, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology

Dr. P.S.Sai Prasad, Chief Scientist, CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad, obtained his M.Tech (NIT-W, Distinction, I rank) and Ph.D (IIT-Madras) degrees in Chemical Engineering. He has 35 years of illustrious R&D experience with 160 papers in international journals, 80 symposia presentations and 20 patents and supervised 10 Ph D theses and 40 M Tech/M. Sc./ B. Tech dissertations. He developed Pyrazinamide (anti-TB drug), Vinyl Chloride Monomer, Dioxanone, Propanediol and de-NOx technologies. He is the recipient of several awards like the Herdillia award for excellence in basic research in Chemical Engineering. He has several international collaborations. His current research is on carbon capture and utilization.
