Anagha Damre's Biography

Anagha Damre, Senior Group Leader/Head, Piramal Healthcare Ltd

Dr. Anaghe Damre currently holds the position of Senior Group Leader at the NCE Research unit of Piramal Enterprises Ltd., Mumbai (2003-present). She received her M. Pharm. (1999) and Ph.D. (2002) degrees in Pharmacology from the Bombay College of Pharmacy. She has a rich hands-on experience in drug discovery and development and has played a crucial role in setting up, developing and training scientists in the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics laboratory at Piramal. Her team supports in vitro ADME screening, in vivo PK studies and bioanalysis for numerous targets in areas of oncology, metabolic disorders, inflammation and anti-infectives for optimization, characterization and selection of candidates for clinical development. She has co-authored a book chapter and has published over 50 papers and abstracts, guided 15 post-graduate and doctorate dissertations and is a co-inventor of one international patent.
