Dhananjaya Dendukuri, CEO & Co-Founder, Achira Labs Pvt Ltd

Dr. Dhananjaya Dendukuri is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Achira Labs, a pioneering Indian start-up working in the area of point of care medical diagnostics. Dr. Dendukuri co-founded Achira Labs in 2009 with the vision of making medical testing fast, accurate, accessible and cost-effective. Achira has developed multiple platforms for point-of-care testing and has been awarded six international patents in the area of medical diagnostic platforms. Achira has also been the recipient of several awards including the TR35 from MIT and the President's Award on Technology Day for commercializing new technology from India. A B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras, he went on to complete his MASC from the University of Toronto and received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His thesis on synthesizing polymeric particles in microfluidic devices received the Senturia Prize as the best dissertation in the area of micro and nanotechnology at MIT in 2008.
