Ali Tinazli's Biography



Ali Tinazli, Director & Head of Business Development & Sales, Sony DADC

Dr. Tinazli's academic work resulted in publications in various high impact journals in the field of nanotechnology, cell biology, and single-molecule biochemistry (e.g. Nature Nanotechnology 2007; 2(4):220, Nature Cell Biology 2007; 9(1):99, Chemistry 2005; 11(18):5249, EMBO 2004; 23). After his Ph.D. in 2006 he joined the Corporate Business Development team of Applied Biosystems (Frankfurt/San Francisco – now Life Technologies). Since 2008, he contributed to Sony DADC’s (Salzburg/San Francisco) initial growth in the US in the arena of Smart Consumables in the Life Sciences and in-vitro diagnostics tools markets. In 2012 Dr. Tinazli opened the official US office for Sony DADC BioSciences in Cambridge, MA and is heading the American business. The acceleration of the adoption rate of new technologies in the medical markets is his main interest.

Applications in high-throughput screening in genomics, in-vitro diagnostics, and single cell assays will be presented.
