ByungChul Kim, CEO, Clinomics Inc

Byung Chul Kim is CEO of Clinomics Inc., a genomics company in South Korea. He received a B.S. degree in Agricultural chemistry from Seoul National University and the M.S. and Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from POSTECH in Korea. He has been active in the area of cancer genomics and molecular diagnostics for over 10 years. His current research involves biomarker discovery in lung cancer and its application to clinical diagnosis.

Several pathologically different lung cancer subtypes are analyzed by next-generation sequencing to find somatic variations. The results demonstrate that this approach is useful to detect previously known recurrent mutations as well as novel variations.
