Dr. Leonhard Schwab, Co-founder and namesake of dr. schwab IT has as CTO and Managing Director a profound influence on all areas of the company's activity. He has a degree in physics and mathematics from the University of Munich and is a specialist in development of laser measurement technology and optical sensor applications.
Prior to founding dr. schwab IT, he was head of research and development at Dr. Schenk GmbH, where he worked for twelve years and developed numerous new applications that became standard in CD and DVD inspection. Based on this experience, he started dr. schwab IT together with Hans Ostermayer in 2002 to develop a completely new generation of inspection systems for third and fourth generation optical disc formats.
