Elizabeth Day's Biography

Elizabeth Day, Reseacher, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology

Lizzy Day is studying Medicine at the University of Cambridge. She completed her undergraduate course in the Department of Genetics and continued to the School of Clinical Medicine at the same university. She was then accepted onto the MBPhD programme and put her medical studies on hold to complete a PhD at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology. Here in Paul Dear's group she applied the digital PCR techniques developed by the lab to interrogate the genome of colorectal cancer. Lizzy is now back on the wards with one year remaining of her clinical course and is hoping to pursue a career in academic medicine.
