Dedy Wicaksono, Senior Lecturer, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia

Dedy H.B. Wicaksono is Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Biosciences and Medical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai, Johor, Malaysia.
He received Bachelor degree (cum laude) in Engineering Physics from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia in 1998, and Master degree in Biological Information Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan in 2002.
He carried out his master degree research in single molecular level imaging of DNA-Protein binding using Atomic Force Microscopy under the supervision of Prof. Masuo Aizawa and Prof. Eiry Kobatake.
He received PhD degree from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), the Netherlands, in 2008 in Microelectronics. During his PhD, he was working on Bio-inspired MEMS under the supervision of Prof. P.J. French. From 2008 until 2010 he conducted postdoctoral research under Prof. J. Dankelman of TU Delft, and had been working on the integration of micro-optics to dental drill bit. His current research interests include textile-based biomedical device and MEMS, and textile-based flexible microfluidic and analytical devices.
In spare time, he also likes to research fundamental sensing theory and mechanism.
