Anil Kumar's Biography

Anil Kumar, Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay

Dr Anil Kumar is currently a Professor at IIT Bombay, in the Department of Chemistry, Center for excellence in Nanoelectronics, National Center for Photovoltaic Research and Education and National Center for Excellence in Technologies for Internal Security. Main focus of his group's research is in the area of continuous flow processes and printable optoelectronic devices based on conjugated polymers. In Continuous flow processes; they have developed various flow processes that include CH arylation, C-C bond formations reactions, bromination, transetherification and working on few more. In conjugated polymer activities, their group has developed a new Kumada Catalyst Transfer Polycondensation process for the synthesis of defect free as well as with controlled defect regioregular Poly(3-hexylthiophene). They also conduct a special training program to train the next generation of human resources in the area of continuous flow processes.
