Sergey Broude's Biography



Sergey Broude, Senior Technical Fellow, Resonetics, LLC

Sergey leads the development of advanced laser micromachining, introduces new lasers and applies his physics expertise to process characterization and optimization. He also leads the Intellectual Property program at Resonetics. Prior to joining Resonetics, Sergey was Director of R&D at QC Optics, where he was involved in laser methods of defects detection on critical surfaces in semiconductor, optical and magnetic media industries. Sergey also worked at BASF, GCA, and Digital Ink, Inc.; taught physics at the graduate level; and is an inventor on 17 U.S. patents. He obtained his B.S. and M.S. in Physics from the prestigious MPhTI in Moscow and holds a Ph.D. in physics from the U.S.S.R. Academy of Sciences.
