Olivier Thas, Professor in Biostatistics & Honorary Professor, Ghent University

Olivier Thas is Professor of Biostatistics at Ghent University (Belgium) and Honorary Professor at the University of Wollongong (Australia). His research focuses on the development and application of statistical methods for problems in applied biology, including genomics (qPCR, dPCR, NGS,…). He is chair of the Master of Statistical Data Analysis at Ghent University and co-director of StatGent (a university consortium that aims at the valorisation of statistics research through contract research).
