Chulan Kwon, Associate Professor, Johns Hopkins University

Chulan Kwon, PhD, is Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His lab studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms governing heart generation and regeneration. In particular, his lab focuses on understanding the fundamental and regenerative biology of cardiac progenitors and elucidating cardiomyocyte maturation, an essential process to generate adult heart muscle from pluripotent stem cells.
