Advanced techniques for measuring copy number alterations and strategies to improve genomic and translational studies Workshop

04 Sep 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany, 13:30 - 14:15

http://www.qiagen.com
Structural changes in the genome can result in either an increase or decrease in the number of copies present for different loci, or in other changes of the DNA such as point mutations or deletions/insertions. These changes can occur in the germline, becoming heritable, or can occur in somatic cells de novo. Alterations in gene copy number or somatically acquired DNA changes can have profound effects on human biology and are frequently associated with both developmental disorders and diseases. This presentation will give you an overview of QIAGEN’s most advanced techniques for measuring copy number alterations and other mutations, as well as strategies to improve your genomic and translational studies.
