Point-of-Care Diagnostics 2017 Workshop

In 2009, STRATEC Consumables GmbH, formerly Sony DADC BioSciences, started partnering with life sciences and diagnostics companies enabling the industrial manufacturing of smart polymer parts. Within the workshop we are going to show how we accomplish the transfer from prototypes made of PDMS, glass or even steel into mass manufactured disposable polymer parts for different applications like digital PCR, biomarker analysis and MALDI.

During this workshop we will discuss about challenges, risk and chances of the development and production of in-vitro diagnostic and life science products. The focus will not only be on success stories, but also on critical issues and design rules of injection molding as fabrication technique as well as restrictions, advantages and disadvantages of the production technologies used at STRATEC Consumables GmbH.
