Oliver Stegle

Dr. Oliver Stegle (male) is a research group leader at the EMBL European Bioinformatics Institute in Hinxton, Cambridge, UK. Together with his team, he is developing high-performance computational and statistical tools to elucidate large multi-omics datasets. His work bridges the fields of machine learning and computational biology, which has lead to important methodological and applied contributions. Current primary research areas cover the field of statistical and molecular genetics, in particular related to high-dimensional molecular traits.
More recent interests include tools for single-cell transcriptome and epigenome variation studies in the context of human induced pluripotent stem cells.
