John Zhang,
Associate Professor
Dr. Zhang is an Associate Professor at the University of Texas of Austin in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. His research focuses on exploring bio-inspired miniaturization technology and scale-dependent physical phenomena to develop new diagnostic devices and methods on probing complex cellular processes critical to disease development such as cancer. He has received many prestigious awards, including the Wallace Coulter Foundation Early Career Award in Biomedical Engineering, NSF CAREER Award, and DARPA Young Faculty Award. Dr. Zhang received his Ph.D. from Stanford University, and was a Research Scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology before joining the faculty at UT Austin.
