Dr. Barot is currently, President & CEO, Prerana Bio-Innovations Research Private Limited, Gandhinagar. He is also Director, Invitro ADMET Laboratories LLC., USA and Director, Karyotica Biologicals Private Limited, Hyderabad. Dr. Barot is a renowned consultant, Preclinical Research with varied clientele base in India, Europe and USA. Dr. Barot is an Entrepreneur-scientist and have held executive as well as technical operating roles/positions in companies like MicroTherapeutics Research Labs (Chennai), Vanta Bioscience, Kemin Industries (Chennai), Biocon-Bristol Myers Squibb Research Centre (Bangalore), Aurigene Discovery Technologies Ltd. (Bangalore), and Zydus Research Centre (Ahmedabad).
Dr. Deepak has extensive drug discovery research experience in the field of metabolic disorders, Inflammation, oncology and neuroscience. He has been associated with all the areas of Drug metabolism/Pharmacokinetics, pharmacology and toxicology (including early Phase drug discovery, lead optimization and preclinical pharmacokinetic/pharmacology/toxicology studies) pertaining to the discovery of New Chemical Entities (NCEs). He has broad scientific knowledge, leadership skills and hands on experience in conducting DMPK/Pharmacology/Toxicology studies and various analytical methodologies used in laboratory settings such as H/UPLC and LCMS/MS etc.
He received his PhD in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology from College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Anand. He was instrumental in initiating and bringing APA meetings to India and is currently Scientific Advisor to Boston International Conferences, The Boston Society Inc, US.
