Bharat Venkatesh, Junior Scientific Officer

Mr.V.G.Bharat has obtained his Double Masters from The University of Salford, Manchester, United Kingdom and Bangalore University, India in the field of Drug Discovery and Bio-chemistry. Presently, he is working as a Scientific Officer in the department of Centre for Addiction Medicine at National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) which is a premier brain research institute. He has also worked for Astra Zeneca India as a Research Associate at the Bio-Science Department prior to joining NIMHANS. His current area of research is on developing a quantitative and characteristic method for biomarkers for alcohol abuse using GC-MS. His other areas of expertise include: Analysis of other drugs of abuse using HP-TLC, Diagnosis of Alcohol related disorders using ELISA.
