Michael Strerath is heading a department focusing on automation enabled high throughput screening processes as well as the support of neighboring departments by means of automated data handling and the automation of repetitive work steps. Before he joined Bayer he acquired expertise in similar fields working as a scientist in a high throughput screening laboratory for Direvo Biotech. Michael discovered his fascination for automation during his PhD in biochemistry, following his undergraduate chemistry degree.
