Riccardo Di Guida,
PhD Student
Riccardo Di Guida obtained his BSc at the University of Perugia, Italy (2008-2011) in chemistry and his MSc at the same university (2011-2013) in organic chemistry with a final year project focused on metabolic clearance and lipidomics. From 2013 he is a PhD student at the University of Birmingham (UK) being awarded with a MRC scholarship dedicated to the metabolic study of the role of glucocorticoids in humans. His field of interest ranges from UPLC-MS techniques applied to untargeted metabolomics to computational assessments of pre-processing methods in metabolomics to analytical development in order to cope with small volume samples. He is also collaborating with Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Birmingham, UK) performing several clinical metabolomics studies.
