Anwarul Hasan,

Anwarul Hasan, PhD, PEng, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Qatar University, Qatar, and an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. Earlier, Dr Hasan obtained his PhD from University of Alberta, Canada in 2010. He worked in industry during 2010-2011, and was a National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Research Fellow at Harvard and MIT during 2012-2013. He has more than 55 peer reviewed papers including about 35 journal articles and 20 conference proceeding papers. His current research interests are in the areas of Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Tissue Engineering, particularly for cardiovascular, bone and neural applications.
