Dr. Vaibhav Sihorkar is working as a Technical Director and Site Head of Pharmaceutical R&D of Ashland for the rest of Asia (located at Genome valley, Hyderabad), that offers solution-centric technical support to customers and focuses upon customer-centric newer applications of Ashland product portfolio (excipients & specialty chemicals).He is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutics from Sagar University; and has 18+ years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D of innovation (discovery); differentiation and generics space with Dr. Reddy’s and Panacea Biotech; and around 2+ years of techno-commercial experience with Ashland. He is an expert in the areas of pre-formulation/de-formulation, immediate- and controlled-release product development, amorphous API and pre-mix stabilization, complexation, ready-mix customized coating solutions and new technology development specially in the area of pharmaceutical polymer chemistry & processing to end-use functionality. He is a certified six sigma professional from American Society of Quality (ASQ) and has to his credit ~45 Publications; >15 presentations at International & National platforms; and around 5 patents.
