Zoltan Varga,
Biological Nanochemistry Research Group
Dr. Zoltan Varga received his M.Sc. in Engineering Physics and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Dr. Varga is a group leader at the Institute of Materials and Environmental Chemistry, Research Centre for Natural Sciences, Budapest, Hungary. The aim of his research group is to connect traditional colloid chemistry with new challenges in biology and medicine. He holds an appointment as work package leader in the METVES II project, “Standardisation of concentration measurements of extracellular vesicles for medical diagnoses” funded by the European Metrology Programme for Innovation and Research. His lab currently focusing on the development of novel synthetic reference materials and isolation and characterization techniques for EV research.
