Alain Wuethrich,
Group Leader / Researcher
Alain is currently an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow, Deputy Director and Group Leader at the Centre for Personalised Nanomedicine, Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN), The University of Queensland. Alain obtained his PhD from the University of Tasmania (Australia) in 2016 before transitioning into multiple postdoctoral positions at AIBN. Alain’s research interests include liquid biopsy, cancer, surface-enhanced Raman scattering, nanotechnology, and microfluidics. A key feature of his research has been the translation of discoveries at the nanoscale into innovative diagnostic technologies that enable the precise study of biomolecular aberrations in cancer, infectious diseases, and human immune system.
