Dr Sneh Lata Pareek is currently Group Leader at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, India. She Completed her B.Sc. (Hons) (1989), M.Sc. (1991) and PhD (1997) from University of Delhi. In 1998, she wasPostdoc Fellow at Dept. of Biology, University of North Carolina, NC, USA. Thereafter,in 1999, she became Research Scientist at Department of Genetics, University of Delhi, South Campus, New Delhi followed by ICGEB from 2000-2001. In 2005, Dr Pareek was appointed as Visiting Scientist, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA. Since 2001, Dr Pareek has been Staff Research Scientist, Plant Molecular Biology at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi, India. She has many awards to her credit namely 2006, Innovative Young Biotechnologist, DBT, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India; 2005, Visiting Scientist Fellowship Award, Cornell University, USA and many more. Her main research interests are in understanding of Plant Stress Biology and development of salinity tolerant crops.
