A workshop on "Demonstration of Applications and Capabilities of Flow Chemistry using Continuous Flow Reactors" will be held one day prior to the training course i.e. on 20th January, 2015 in Mumbai. This workshop is specially designed to demonstrate the applications and capabilities of the Flow Chemistry utilizing Continuous Flow Reactors in Live Running Condition.The reactions likely to be demonstrated using Flow Chemistry during this workshop include the following:

  •     Grignard Reaction
  •     Nitration Reaction
  •     Reaction(s) using n-BuLithium Reagent
  •     Alkylation Reaction with Epichlorohydrine
  •     SNAr Reaction
  •     Reaction involving Biocatalysis

A brief introduction to the type of reactors used will be given, but most time will be devoted to the key concepts such as heat transfer and mixing.

Commercially available Micro Reactors and Flow Reaction Technology - General features with reference to specifically to Industrial applications.

4. Synthetic Reactions performed in Flow Reactors
This section will review in detail the reactions reported in the literature emphasizing the reasons why industry want to adopt the technology.

5. Scale Up/Process Intensification Training
Application of Technology for Industrial Scale Manufacture

6. Other Applications of Micro Reactors
Polymerization, Nanoparticle Synthesis, Emulsification and Online Analysis will be outlined
