Dr Moutushy Mitra is CEO, Director for Genomics, a researcher and Industrialist who has been providing formulations to meet the quality parameters of the industry. She obtained her PhD in Cancer Biology from Vision Research Foundation (Sankara Nethralaya). She has around 10 research papers focused on ophthalmic cancer, retinoblastoma published in International journals. After her PhD she had a passion to learn advanced molecular biology techniques such as next generation sequencing and microarrays and adapted them to solve many issues in cancer biology through working with national and multi-national companies. She is a co investigator in a project “Novel Biomarker discovery in Ocular tumors” funded by Terry Fox foundation, Canada. Her vision is to establish a world class advanced genomics diagnostics organization to serve patients suffering from variety of genetic disorders related to oncology and reproductive health. Her roles include managing the operation of 3i Molecular Solutions Genomic Services business and research unit. This involves operations management, research grant submissions, academic collaborations, client relations, personnel management, technical guidance and sales support functions. With her team hat on, she also bring the development of new technologies and pipelines for Services, represents the company at national and international meetings as well as advise the entire business unit. She currently provides scientific expertise to the growing team at 3i Molecular solution with a focus on NGS and Microarray based clinical diagnostics and research. She is also involved in resource allocation and facilitating collaborations between academic units, clinical services, researchers and healthcare providers. 3i molecular solutions is the first ever advanced molecular technology based clinical diagnostic and research lab that provides continuous education, awareness and training to the graduates and post graduates and also medical and non-medical faculties.
