Overview

The Third Annual SELECTBIO Circulating Biomarkers World Congress 2016 brings together academic researchers as well as industry participants to present and discuss the most up-to-date research and commercial activities in the translation of various circulating biomarker classes towards the clinic.

The focus of this conference track is to present the most up-to-date research and commercial activities in the Extracellular Vesicles (EV) field dominated by research on exosomes and microvesicles.

The emphasis in this track is on the research activities as well as the translation of exosome research downstream towards the study of exosomes as biomarker cargo carriers.  In this vein, presentations in this conference track will highlight protein and nucleic acid cargo contained within exosomes.

A co-located exhibit hall features companies developing technologies and products for the complete workflow from sample isolation, preparation, as well as characterization of exosomes.

Conference delegates receive access to all three co-located conference tracks, can mix-and-match presentations from all three tracks thereby maximizing the conference experience, and can network with delegates from the various co-located tracks and exhibition.

Agenda Topics

  • Exosome Capture using Microfluidics Approaches
  • Extracellular Vesicle-based Biomarkers: Exosomes and Microvesicles in Biological Fluids
    • Biomarker Cargo
    • Potential as Delivery Shuttles
    • Research Methodologies: Isolation, Capture, Biomarker Cargo Analysis
    • Various Subclasses of EVs: Exosomes, Microvesicles, Oncosomes
  • Extracellular Vesicles as Biomarker Carriers in Various Disease Classes
    • Autoimmune Diseases
    • Cancer
    • Cardiovascular Disease
    • CNS and Neurodegenerative Diseases and Traumatic Brain Injury
    • Pregnancy and Reproductive Health
