Biofactory: Bioinks and Organ Bioprinting
Christophe Marquette,
Research Director, 3d.FAB Platform Coordinator,
Universite Lyon
Printing large pieces of tissue or organ will be within reach in a few years. Advances in 3D printing, bioprinting, biomaterials (bio-inks) but also complex tissue engineering and 3D tissue maturation are some of the key technologies that will make this happen. Integration of all these challenging sciences within one particular “Biofactory” will then be necessary to ensure a safe, efficient and successful future for regenerative medicine.
