Flow “Fine” Synthesis: High Yielding and Selective Organic Synthesis by Flow Methods

Organic synthesis by flow methods and some examples of its use for the flow total synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) are described. Flow synthesis is going to occupy an important part of synthetic organic chemistry as well as related sciences; indeed, the future direction of flow synthesis has much in common with that of modern synthetic organic chemistry and green sustainable chemistry. Fundamental aspects of organic synthesis by flow methods as well as the ripple effects and future prospects of organic synthesis by flow methods will be discussed.
