Bench to Bedside Successes at the TRM Leipzig

The Translational Centre for Regenerative Medicine (TRM) of Leipzig University develops novel diagnostic and therapeutic methods of regenerative medicine and enables the rapid transfer of results into medical practice. The interdisciplinary research portfolio ranges from new treatment options for neurological diseases, and the production of medical implants for the musculoskeletal system to the replacement of diseased tissues and organs. The successful transfer of knowledge and technology between science, hospitals and industry, an appropriate patent portfolio and a high service standard are the Centre's strategic cornerstones. The TRM Leipzig is one of Germany's leading research centres for regenerative medicine. This young and highly-innovative field of biomedicine stands for accelerated progress in experimental research and its applied therapeutic practice - and is thus unsurpassed in its potential to meet the challenges of the future healthcare system. Regenerative medicine will one day enable many diseases to be successfully treated - and it is this vision that drives TRM Leipzig.
