The talk will also mention how by analysis of salivary DNA methylation and miRNA signatures along with identification of tumour suppressor genes, cancers like head and neck cancer, especially oral cavity cancers can be detected. Further, it will discuss about role of (MSP) assay and panel of nine miRNA markers in determining specific methylation events. Finally, it will highlight how saliva is an ideal biological medium to detect both oral and systemic events along with future prospects. |
