Sonal Das, Senior Manager, Corporate Development and Strategy, Biogen

Sonal is a Senior Manager of External Innovation within Business Development at Biogen. There she leads Search and Evaluation efforts for several therapeutic areas including Movement Disorders, Neuromuscular Disorders, Fibrosis, Immunology and New Indications in Neurology. Prior to joining Biogen, she was the Research Manager of the MRC Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitylation Unit at The University of Dundee where she led business efforts centered around the Unit’s Research Tools and Services, liaised with Pharma through the Division of Signal Transduction Therapy and communicated internal scientific achievements to broader audiences. Between 2009 and 2013, Sonal was a staff scientist at The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research which enabled her to apply her knowledge and training in Neuroscience towards leading grant programs that spanned from basic research to translational efforts, as well as lead in-house efforts toward the development of key molecular and cellular research tools for Parkinson’s research scientists. Sonal acquired a PhD in Neuroscience from Oregon Health and Science University and Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Cornell University.
