Chaminda Salgado, Head of CMC Bioassay & Genomics, NDA-Analytics

Chaminda is a pioneer in realtime PCR having started in 1996, whilst working for Defence, at Porton Down UK, where he was involved in custom assays and fieldable, rapid instrumentation for battfield, and home land securty detection of Biological Weapons, and pathogens. He then joined Glaxosmithkline and was involved in the development of Biopharmaceuticals, from discovery through to Phase III, products included DNA vaccines, gene therapies, mAbs and other protein fragments. Now at NDA Analytics he provides molecular biological & Cell based in vitro assay services for clinical release, stability testing, and batch release of pharmaceutical drugs (biologics and NCEs).
