Claude Prigent's Biography

Claude Prigent, Professor, University of Rennes School of Medicine

Dr. Claude Prigent is Director of Research in the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in France. He has a PhD of the University of Rennes 1. He did a post-doc in UK under the direction of Dr Thomas Lindahl (Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2015). He has been the head of the “The Cell Cycle Team” since 1996. He is now also associate Professor at the University Laval at Quebec (Canada) in the oncology department. Dr.Claude Prigent studies the mechanisms of cell division with a focus on the regulation of mitosis by protein kinases.
