Dr. Zhang graduated from Nanyang Technological University with PhD in 2005. She obtained MEng, B. Law and B. Eng from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2001, 1999 and 1998 separately. She has worked 8 years on various research projects in NTU and NUS before joining National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) in 2012. She is currently a senior research fellow in NHCS and an adjunct assistant professor of Duke-NUS medical school, Singapore.
Dr. Zhang’s overall research focused on the multi-physics modeling to solve various problems, particularly in the field of hemodynamics in cardiovascular circulation. Till now, she has published 1 chapter in book, 26 peer-reviewed journal papers and 57 conference papers. Since joining NHCS, Dr. Zhang has been awarded 1 SingHealth Translational Research Grant and 1 NHCS Seed Funding. In virtue of her contribution in the field of cardiovascular bioengineering, she was invited as a co-chair for the section of “Cardiovascular Mechanics” in ICBME 2013. She currently serves as a reviewer for several journals of biomedical engineering. She enjoys teaching and mentoring FYP and PhD students.
