Sing Swee Leong's Biography



Sing Swee Leong, Project Officer, Singapore Centre for 3D Printing

Swee Leong currently carries out research as a Project Officer in Singapore Centre for 3D Printing. Prior to joining the research centre in 2012, he graduated with a Bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering with Honours from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His main research interest is the development of additive manufacturing for applications in the biomedical industry. In particular, he worked on overcoming limitations of materials currently used in orthopaedic implants by relooking into how implants can be improved with additive manufacturing. He obtained his PhD in 2016 from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore for his research work on selective laser melting of titanium alloys for orthopaedic applications.
