Yagmur Yildizhan received her B.Sc. degree in Physics Department at Bilkent University in 2016 and her M.Sc. degree in Mechatronics Engineering Program at Sabanci University in 2018 where she conducted her research on dielectrophoretic characterization and separation of cells. Currently, she continues her research in the Biosensors group at KU Leuven, Belgium (headed by prof. Jeroen Lammertyn) as Marie Curie fellow within the framework of H2020 ITN project AiPBAND (“An integrated platform for developing brain cancer diagnostic techniques”). Her research focuses on developing fiber optic surface plasmon resonance and digital ELISA technology platforms for ultrasensitive detection of blood-based tumor biomarkers, particularly extracellular vesicles.
