3D bioprinting refers to the use of engineering methods to achieve controllable assembly of cells in space and time. It has a wide range of application scenarios in disease model construction in vitro, drug evaluation or testing, and tissue or organ regeneration. This report focuses on the most advanced 3D bioprinting methods, including co-axial 3D bioprinting, high-precision electro writing, and projection-based bioprinting. Based on these 3D printing methods, research progress in vascularization, micro/nano structure-regulated cell growth, organoid construction, standardization of cell-carrying structures, and controllable manufacturing will be reported in detail.
