Nicole St Jean's Biography



Nicole St Jean, Corporate Business Development, AstraZeneca

Nicole is the Business Development Manager in AstraZeneca’s Global Corporate Business Development Function. She is responsible for identifying, evaluating and facilitating interactions with external parties to broaden AstraZeneca’s access to scientific innovation. Nicole joined AZ in 2008 and has held multiple roles at AstraZeneca including field sales, licensing and now corporate business development specializing in personalized healthcare. The scope of Nicole’s team includes licensing, and establishing partnerships in research, development, and commercialization across AstraZeneca’s therapeutic portfolio (Oncology, Respiratory & Inflammation, Cardiovascular/Metabolism, etc.). Prior to AstraZeneca Nicole interned in Financial Investments at Morgan Stanley. She earned a dual undergraduate degree in the honors program at the University of Rhode Island in Biology and Business Marketing, and recently completed her graduate management degree (MBA) from The Carroll School of Management at Boston College. Nicole is an active member of AZNOW (AstraZeneca Network of Women) and MassBio (Massachusetts Biotechnology Council).

This presentation will cover a high-level overview of AZ’s current company status, global footprint and core areas of interest (research, investment, commercial, etc). Nicole will present AstraZeneca’s vision and mission in Personalized Healthcare (PHC) and share some of the partnerships AstraZeneca has established to in the Personalized Medicine space to further emphasize AZ’s commitment to PHC. Nicole will highlight challenges in partnering for companion diagnostics and opportunities we see for the future in this space.
