Duncan is an enthusiastic and accomplished medicinal chemist with extensive outsourcing experience, and a 35+ year proven track record with a Blue-Chip Pharmaceutical Company. Duncan is now working for Awridian as a consultant in the early phase of drug discovery. He graduated from Kingston Polytechnic in 1976, and joined Glaxo where he made significant contributions to many drug discovery projects, such as H2 receptor antagonists, Prostaglandins, Opioids, and Angiotensin II antagonists. He then moved to the hit and lead generation arena, where he delivered on numerous projects including the CCR3 antagonist programme. He has made significant contributions to building block design and selection for compound libraries and arrays. More recently, he has been involved with projects to enhance screening collections, where he has engaged with external partners to design, and synthesis appropriate compounds.
