Ravi Maddaly's Biography

Ravi Maddaly, Professor , Sri Ramachandra University

Dr. M. Ravi is currently a Professor, Department of Human Genetics, Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, Technology and Research, Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai. His doctoral work at the Department of Human Genetics involved working on Biodosimetric techniques and development of monoclonal antibodies.
His areas of interests and specializations include Immunology, Animal Cell Cultures, Research methodology, Cancer Biomarker Discovery. His current research focus is on 3D cultures of cancer cell lines for a variety of applications including morphology, protein and gene expressions, drug susceptibility and cytokine profiling.
He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, India and has authored 6 books thus far apart from 49 research papers in reputed journals. Most of the publications are in the areas of B-cell biology, generation of MAbs and 3D cell cultures of cancer cell lines.
