Cristiana Tanase,
Proteomics Group Leader,
"Victor Babes" National Institute of Pathology
Cristiana Tanase – MD, PhD in Medicine, Senior Researcher, Proteomics Group Leader (“Victor Babes” National Institute of Pathology) - was involved in over 60 national and international research projects, a significant number in pathology, proteomics, biomarkers, toxicology. The major fields of activity cover development and implementation of techniques for detection of biomarkers (cytokines, chemokines, growth factors, signal transduction molecules, protein profiling, nucleic acids) in tumor pathology research. The set of techniques includes multiplex analysis using xMAP technology (Luminex), SELDI-TOF, 2D-electrophoresis, on-chip electrophoresis (proteins, nucleic acids). Accordingly, in the last years, the main publications were focused on molecular pathology associated to cancer development. She is reviewer for 6 international journals and board member for “Recent Patents on Biomarkers” and “Journal of Immunoassay & Immunochemistry”. She is expert evaluator for FP7, EuroNanoMed and NCP Health FP7.
