Dr. Anu T. Singh holds a doctorate degree in Endocrinology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, India. She completed her Ph.D in 1994 and followed it with postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Immunology, India in the area of molecular signaling in Cancer. She has more than 24 years of research experience in discovery & development of new molecules for treatment of cancer, inflammation & Immunomodulation. She is currently the Vice President at Dabur Research Foundation (DRF), which she joined in 1998. Dabur Research Foundation is the oldest Indian Health care company (estb in 1884) and dedicated to date to the development of Ayurvedic plant based medicines for health and well being of society at large. Dr Anu leads the discovery & Preclinical (R&D) teams at Dabur Research Foundation, comprising of more than 80 scientists. Dr. Singh is responsible for setting up the state of the art Molecular Biology Unit at DRF dedicated to new drug development from natural products and chemical libraries. Dr Anu contributed to the successful development and commercialization of a nanoparticle based paclitaxel - Nanoxel TM for the treatment of breast and ovarian cancers. She has been instrumental in development of novel plant derieved Immunomodulators, anti inflammatories and cardioprotectives some of which are in clinical development. Dr. Singh holds more than 100 international patents and several more in India. She has published and presented more than 50 research papers in peer-reviewed journals & scientific meetings.She has active collaborations with academic institutions, and other research organizations and has trained more than 150 biotechnology post-graduates students. Dr. Singh holds memberships in several scientific committees and has presented her scientific contributions at several international and Indian meetings. Dr Anu Singh is married and her husband is a Healthcare Consultant. They have a daughter who is in College. Dr Anu likes to read, travel & stay connected with the grassroots of the society through socially relevant work.
