Min-Han Tan, MBBS, FRCP, PhD is a medical oncologist and scientist dividing time between the hospital and the laboratory, believing that time spent in one setting complements work in the other. Dr. Tan is a principal investigator at the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, and is a visiting consultant medical oncologist at National Cancer Centre Singapore. He received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore together with the Brunel Hawes and Nestle Gold Medals. He has published over 100 original research articles across a diverse range of topics, and filed for 9 patents, with inventions licensed and deployed in laboratories worldwide. For his research, he has received international awards from the American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Society of Medical Oncology, and Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN). Dr. Tan chairs the Oncology Drug Subcommittee of the Ministry of Health, Singapore, which advises on the use of cancer therapeutics. He is the lead editor of the Singapore Cancer Network (SCAN), the national practice framework for cancer care in Singapore. He is a steering committee member of an international research consortium I-CONFIRM of the National Cancer Institute of the United States.
