R Srinivas's Biography

R Srinivas, Head, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology

Dr. R Srinivas is Chief Scientist and HOD of National Center for Mass Spectrometry at IICT, Hyderabad. He has done his Master from Osmania University in 1979 and completed his Phd from IIT Madras in 1979. He was Post Doctoral Fellow in the group of Prof. H. Schwarz, (present President of Alexender von Humboldt Foundation), Institute of Organic Chemistry, Technical University Berlin, (October1989- August 1991 under the CSIR-DAAD Scientists’ exchange programme). He has presented many papers in international seminars (European Conference on Tandem MS, UMIST, Manchester, U.K. (July 8-13, 1990) and 12th International Mass Spectrometry held in Amsterdam (August 26-28, 1991). He has attended a training program on the advanced applications of mass spectrometry at VG Analytical, Manchester, U.K. (October 2-13, 1995). Dr. Srinivas was a Senior DAAD visiting scientist at Institute of Organic Chemistry, T.U, Berlin and Institute of Physical Chemistry, University of Wuerzburg, Germany (May-July, 1999). He has almost 126 papers in peer reviewed international journals and 4 in national journals and has received more than 1400 citation and has attended about 80 conferences and presented posters / delivered lectures. He is the recipient of many awards and honors and is a member of many professional bodies.
