Daniel Lackner's Biography


Daniel Lackner, Senior Scientist, Horizon Discovery

Daniel is a senior scientist at Horizon Discovery in Vienna. Before joining Horizon, he worked for 6 years as research associate at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in San Diego, California. Daniel did his undergraduate studies in Vienna, Austria and received his PhD from the University of Cambridge, where he worked at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute.

We developed a strategy that enables the tagging of endogenous loci by NHEJ using a generic donor template. We show that this strategy is efficient and present showcases of human genes endogenously tagged with NanoLuc luciferase or TurboGFP.
