Ted Burczynski, Ph.D. is Executive Director and Head of Integrated Clinical Biomarker Technologies at Bristol-Myers Squibb. His groups develop and validate assays and evaluate biomarkers within clinical trials using innovative and integrative approaches in the fields of Genetics, Genomics, Flow Cytometry and Histochemistry. He received a Ph.D. in Pharmacology at the University of Pennsylvania and conducted postdoctoral research at Johnson and Johnson. From 1999 to 2009 he worked at Wyeth and led the Biomarker Laboratory within Clinical Translational Medicine. Prior to his present role at BMS, he was the Global Head of Genomics and Genetics in Translational Research Sciences at Roche. He is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania and is the editor of two textbooks and author of more than 100 book chapters, abstracts and scientific articles.
