Mandar Shah's Biography

Mandar Shah, Vice President, Promed Group Ltd.

Dr. Mandar V. Shah received his Ph.D. degree from The University of Kansas in 1991. Since then, he has worked at several MNCs, like BMS, Alcon, Pfizer and J&J in US. Currently he is Sr. Vice President of R&D at Sentiss Pharma, Pvt. Ltd., in Gurgaon, Haryana. While Dr. Shah has worked on almost all dosage forms, his expertise is in development of sterile products for generic, consumer, pharmaceutical and surgical line of products. He holds several innovative patents, utilizing common ingredients like HPMC, Vitamin D3, histidine, calcium glycerophosphate, etc. His focus area is getting secondary patents approved for development of complex generics, sort of ‘Evergreening of Patents’ type of approach.
Dr. Shah is a strategic leader, who develops innovative Regulatory/Legal strategies to fuse product development and product positioning for optimizing market reach of many different dosage forms. He effectively manages triple constraint of time, cost and scope, while balancing business and technical risks.
