Paul Vulto's Biography



Paul Vulto, Senior Researcher/Group Leader, Leiden University

Paul Vulto (Dordrecht, 1977) is a scientist and entrepreneur, who held positions in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Japan. He worked as an engineer for the high-tech company Silicon Biosystems in Bologna on dielectrophoresis-based cell separation chip and at IMTEK, University of Freiburg, on an automated microbial diagnostic platform. His current work at the Leiden/Amsterdam Centre for Drug Research is focussing on microfludics for massive parallel screening and 3D cell culturing. Part of his work is now being commercialized by the spin-off company Mimetas.
